Cyber Media: A tool to explore new media in its entirety
The National Cyber Media Caucus nine pillars leading media industry gathering on a platform and exposure of students from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication of different facets of the cyber media: the tool of the emergence of new media. Through lectures, debates, questions and answers workshops, conferences tried to project power and influence of new media and how it can be in achieving its objectives.
The National Cyber Media Conclave was held in the auditorium of the Institute of Knowledge Village in symbiosis Laval. It was inaugurated by Ms. Jasmin Pathija Blanknoise founder and other speakers present session period. It was followed by a prayer sung by one of our own students, Ms. Shilpa Natarajan and a speech by our Director, Mr. Ujjwal Kumar Choudhary.
The session was first speakers presented their views and thoughts on topic: the power of virtual media for information exchange, social change and networking. Organized by Ranjan Riya and two of our own students, the session consisted of speakers like Mr. Kiruba, founder, the foundation of knowledge, CEO, Business SA blog. Ltd.. YMCA College, Madras Advertising Club, International Institute of Journalism, Berlin, Mr Shivam Vij, owner of the national website of the popular route, Mr. Shiv Bhaskar Director General of viewspaper, Ms Jasmeen, founder, Blanknoise.
Kiruba Shankar M spoke on the theme of "Internet as a networking tool and exchange of knowledge. "He proved he was right to give example of his personal life, how Twitter had contributed to the research of a neuro-surgeon in Chennai, when his wife became ill a few days ago. Similarly, increased the importance of Internet blogs and social networks to succeed in business today. It was followed by Mr. Shivam Vij, who spoke to the media and politics.
Mr. Shiv Bhaskar considers Internet news media as the fourth power. He said there are four major states legialature executive, judiciary and media. The power of media in the realization of cyber change in the country is enormous. Ms. Jasmine Pathija, spoke about media use the fight against sexual harassment social in the street. She is the founder of Blanknoise, a portal through which one could connect to thousands of women in India and abroad.
The afternoon saw the speakers presented their views on the subject: The emergence of the Internet as a means of branding and marketing. Lalwani Mr.Rajesh spoke of "blogworks strategic media solutions." He talked about the concept of being on the field to win the battle. Blogging and social partners and social networking sites like LinkedIn business providing an excellent opportunity to connect and stay connected. It has been followed by Ms. Rashmi Dhanwani is associated with the difference that launched the Bell Bajao campaign against domestic violence. Namit Bimbhat discussed the evolution the online video and its relevance to India and the RM. J. Mahadevan said about the concept of brand building online. The session was followed by further rounds questions and answers and a workshop.
In general, the Conclave proved to be a rewarding experience for many of us. We are exposed to multiple facets of cyber media we were not known. We sincerely hope that the college hosts more seminars of this kind for many students.
