Everyone – politicians, businessmen, musicians, celebrities and many other groups of people – the use of social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other networking issues social to spread their message, build their businesses and connect with others.
Do they know something we do not?
Networks, online or offline, is a great use of time when done correctly. Because wherever you spend your time, know why you are doing, how you will measure success and having a plan is the best approach.
That said, I jumped in with both feet last year with the advice of social media expert, and I found customers, business partners, joint conferences and other connections from different media. I am a member of more social media than I can count, but I now focus Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Although I am not an expert in the media social, here are five reasons to take some time to learn the benefits of the media.
1. There is no cost
No direct cost, unless you opt for an update if one is proposed. I did not pay for an update and have steadily increased my list to include more than 1,000 followers among the three media, and without much effort.
2. Build your own business by connecting with peers
Are you interested in pursuing joint ventures, subsidiaries, or experts invited colleagues that you can exchange ideas? In recent weeks, I found a couple of joint venture and had several great opportunities to engage with others through my office. Business owners like you are using social media to communicate with others who are interested in using their home items that you as a guest expert on teleseminars, webinars and live events, and even create projects together!
3. Build your own business by Reporters After you target
"An article written by a journalist to make certain your year? Follow them on Twitter or Facebook and see what is of interest them and what they write. You never know what nugget you find the following line, you can open the door at the right time. Follow them and calls to keep! LinkedIn or you can know how many degrees are between them. You may be surprised to be only one or two degrees away from your destination!
4. Demonstrate your experience, build your platform and attract new customers
Social media is an interesting animal. Although many people use to increase activity, you must keep in mind the level promotions. Overall marketing, and heavy products services on these sites is a big no-no. So I do. I'll post something like this: "I just got on the phone for the networks social guru Nancy Marmolejo. Now I'll finish writing my sales page of the series of business breakthrough. "People are intrigued that you extract and may eventually decide to follow you and … Bingo! They just enter their world!
5. A large audience
The world is a reef in the media. Only a few companies who are really limited by geographical boundaries, especially if you work in the area of marketing information. Being active on social networking sites eliminates geographical boundaries and reached a large number of people around the world. If you have products and services can be purchased by anyone in the world, being active in social media is an absolute necessity for you. Recently I hosted a teleseminar with people over 10 participating countries, especially from the comfort of my home office! And my pants!
Therefore, social media is worth? Depends. Social media is no doubt the wave of the future, and you need to know something about a certain point. However, if you work on your plan for 2009 depends on your goals. If you have a goal to extend the scope of opportunities locally or international, you can do very effectively through media. However, if you can not learn and commit to "tweet" on Twitter or Facebook or call in using LinkedIn connections will not worth your time.
My clients notice when a beginner is to select a media social, whether Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter, and a teacher before jumping on all possible points. Clearly, needs time for the connection, so select outputs of social networks that benefit the most.
Now that I'm aware of the financial results of my efforts online, I understand why it great use of my time and I'm addicted!
